Hello.
My love of military history has grown since childhood. This came from stories told to me by my Chindit Grandfather and the passed down stories from my Great Grandfather, who served with the Dorset Regiment at Gallipoli and later on the Western Front. Like many people, I grow up watching war films and TV programmes that captures the imagination. At secondary school, I was lucky enough to have a very enthusiastic and wonderful history teacher who further ignited my passion for all things military related.
In 2020, I completed my MA in Military History at the University of Birmingham and my final dissertation focused on ‘The effectiveness of the Chindits in the Burma Campaign.’ My main areas of interest are the First World War, Second World War, Napoleonic Wars and Medieval warfare. Since completing my MA, I have also been fortunate enough write for several publications and also tour some of the battlefields of Europe including the Belgian Ardennes and Normandy.
